2009 at the Movies - Lefse Extravaganza
Warning: Turn the sound off for the first minute or so for the under five (six, seven, eight) audience.
Second Warning: This is a long (11 min) and thoughtful movie. Almost slow motion for our current lifestyle. But a great look at the people and accoutrement of the lefse experience!

Lefse Kibitzing in 2009

This is part of the 2009 Lefse Movie which might be instructive as we get close to the 2011 lefse event. Here are the lefse power brokers critiquing the just finished lefse event -- Listen for hints for this year!

Lefse ... what did we look like five years ago?

These Lefse movies are mostly photos strung together, with a few videos in the mix. This is 2006. But included in this movie are a few shots of even older photos which take us all the way back to 1970's. Also it seems to end rather abruptly which we must investigate. My favorite part of this movie is the opening -- the discussion about Norwegian butter! And then ... look at the hands. That's where the lefse is truly made, you know -- it's the mix!___
What did we look like five years (and more) ago?
A few more comments. All of the "children" in this movie are now young adults. Kaitlyn, Ayse and Genevieve are sophomores in college. Suzanne has completed college and a master's degree and is working at a really great HR research job. Haley will start college in 2012 and Sydney has completed her cosmetology degree and Emily is working hard at college.
The rest of us have grown just a little bit - hardly any older than we were when these photos were taken, right?

Let's go to the Movies

Yes ... let's go to the movies!

As some of you Mac people might know, the Mobile Me Gallery is defunct as of June, 2012. That's where I have put our family movies and photos over the years so that I could share them with you.

Well, I decided some of those "old" movies needed saving, so I am going to use this blog to revive some old moments from our family ... or from my travels with Ruth and/or Jeanne ... or perhaps, later on when I figure out how to do it ...some pieces of the HRB movies.

So here too -- keep an eye out because I am already downloading the Mobile Me gallery and editing the movies as necessary to import here! Get the popcorn NOW!
